From May 2024 to April 2026, I am co-leading The Landing Project with artist/farmer Molly Brown
Visit the project website.
This Shropshire-based project unites artists, farmers, environmental practitioners, schools and local communities through on-farm artist residencies and a programme of workshops, public events and exhibitions. It explores how creative activities can offer alternative pathways to communicate about how we farm the UK, and constructive ways to imagine positive futures for our farmland.
By recording and sharing stories and artworks, the project will give voice to land managers, farmers and rural communities raising awareness of the challenges they face, and developing a local archive documenting the cultural value of farmland and rural landscapes. Activities include:
- On-Farm Residencies: Artists will spend time working in agricultural settings, producing individual and co-created works based on their experiences.
- Workshops and Events: Engage the community through educational and participatory activities and exhibitions.
- International Exchange: Collaborate with SOIL+AiR in New South Wales, Australia, for cross-cultural seminars and workshops.
- Series of creative walks and discussions on farms: Landing > In the Field
