This site specific commission (see images below) was prepared for a large kitchen/dining room in a private house. The work features LEDs powered by a small photovoltaic cell, so that the lights are energised when dusk falls or when light levels drop. The continuous daily cycle invites contemplation of the sun's freely available source of energy that all life on the planet depends on.

The viewer can intervene to cause the LEDs to switch on by covering the PV cell, but with this action comes the realisation that human intervention will exhaust the finite energy source more rapidly.
