Scour 2: The Museum in the Landscape

Scour 2: The Museum in the Landscape

Over the Summer 2019, I led two art walks and workshops in the River Arrow valley in Redditch as part of the Scour 2 project. The project , delivered by artists Elizabeth Turner and Keith Ashford, was inspired by the Forge Mill Needle Museum collections and the relationship between the needle industry and the surrounding landscape of the River Arrow valley and Bordesley Abbey. It was funded by Arts Council England and funding partners.

I led group walks in the north and south of the Arrow Valley Country Park followed by collage and mapping workshops at the Bordesley Abbey Visitor Centre.  For the first of the walks we were accompanied by local historian Tony Green.

I subsequently produced a collaborative zine using the artwork and poems made in the workshops, and photography of the landscape.

The Arrow zine is for sale for £3, or £4 including postage and packaging!  Email liz.sculpturelogic@gmail.com to order your copy.
